NI Climate Change Research Database

What is the NI Climate Change Research Database?

The NI Climate Change Research Database collates research projects and papers to showcase the climate change adaptation and mitigation research that is underway or has recently been completed in Northern Ireland.

It has been developed by gathering relevant information from Climate NI’s existing research network, previous research requests, events, workshops and submissions from researchers from Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University. Where applicable, the research has been mapped against the risks and opportunities identified in the UK Climate Change Risk Assessment 2017 (CCRA). As part of the UK Climate Change Act (2008) in preparing for the impacts of climate change, there is a need to better understand the effects of a changing climate and help support future climate change adaptation actions.

The aim of this database is to provide quick access to researchers and their research to a broad audience, to encourage and support a collaborative approach to climate adaptation and mitigation actions and support the work that is already being carried out in Northern Ireland.

This is a working document that will be updated regularly as more research becomes available. Please get in touch if you have any information you would like to add.

Access the NI Climate Change Research Database here.
