With regard to climate change what are the current issues facing your sector/area of expertise?

With approximately half of all carbon emissions under the personal control of individual households and consumers the activities of Bryson Energy contribute to the reduction of Northern Ireland’s greenhouse emissions. Bryson Energy aims to get householders to take action to create a sustainable future. Bryson Energy promotes practical solutions for householders to take action from installing loft insulation to advice on renewable energy.

With regard to climate change, what do you expect the future issues and solutions to be in your sector/area of expertise?

Rising energy costs are likely to bring greater hardship to homes already suffering from fuel poverty. We target our activities mainly at the domestic sector and provide leadership, advice, support and installation of energy saving measures in homes, tackling fuel poverty and helping to reduce costs for householders. Bryson Energy believes that a “Whole House” solution needs to be adopted to ensure households can reduce their dependence on imported fuels. This will necessitate deep energy retrofitting of Northern Ireland’s homes.
