The National Climate Change Conference 2021
The National Climate Change Conference 2021

Wed 27th January 2021 - Wed 27th January 2021, Online

In December 2020, the UK Government announced that the UK will aim to cut carbon emissions by at least 68% of what they were in 1990 by the end of 2030, meaning the UK plans to reduce emissions by 2030 faster than any other major economy. The 2020 Decarbonising Transport policy supports this, complementing existing initiatives across the UK. The Committee on Climate Change has welcomed the government’s aim to cut emissions by 68% by the end of 2030 and has highlighted that the Covid–19 recovery effort presents an opportunity to invest in green infrastructure and low–carbon jobs as we develop new ways to live and work.
