Met Office Climate Data Challenge

Tue 16th March 2021 - Wed 17th March 2021, Online

We would like you to join us and other key stakeholders to find new ways of using data to help us deal with the challenges and exploit the opportunities of our changing climate.

Bringing together people with diverse skillsets and backgrounds, we’re interested in exploring fresh ways to visualise climate data such as UK Climate Projections (UKCP) and how to combine it with other types of data to produce new and innovative tools that help us make society more resilient. Working in teams, the most relevant outputs will have the opportunity to be showcased at COP26 in Glasgow, which will attract Heads of State, policy makers, scientists and other stakeholders from almost every nation in the world.

We are holding a pre–event on 2nd March 2021, starting at 11.00. Further details to follow in due course.

Challenge themes:1. Marine and coastal2. Nature–based solutions3. Sustainable development

As part of the event, we hope to send you some sustainable and eco–friendly freebies before and after the event . For this we will need your address and dietary requirements. We are using a third party supplier to issue this to you and so the release of your personal information is entirely optional, if you do not want to provide this, no goodies will be sent to you before and/or after the event.
